It's The Peak Of The Season At Elmhurst Farmers Market

There is no better month than August to visit Elmhurst Farmers Market. Peaches, corn, berries and a host of other goodies are prime for the picking.

Also this week at the Market, Elmhurst Public Library representatives Gloria Walsh-Rock, Julie Stiegemeyer and Jeannine Lau brought a couple hundred books for browsers to check out.

It's a great way for the library to connect with the community, Stiegemeyer said. EPL will set up its tent at the market two more times: Sept. 4 and Oct. 2.

The Farmers Market also welcomed a new vendor today, Coffee in the Clouds. The smell from their booth is heavenly.

You'll have another chance to experience nature's bounty next Wednesday, Aug. 14, at York and Vallette. Hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
