Last Chance for Free Leaf Pickup is This Week

Residents who can get those leaves bagged and on the curb this week will see significant savings.

Seemed like pretty much everyone in Elmhurst took advantage of the 50-degree temperature on Saturday to finish up the last of their leaf raking before the free leaf pickup this week.

Residents should put their bags of leaves on the curb for pickup on their regular day Dec. 4, 5 or 6, and they won't have to buy stickers. It's not uncommon to see upwards of 20 bags in front of any given Elmhurst home, and with yard waste stickers now costing $3.25 apiece, that adds up to significant savings.

Don't have enough bags for all your leaves? Don't worry. They also can be put into regular waste cans or cardboard boxes.
