I grew up an an Elmhurst "Northsider".  Which, to my friends and I, means I lived east of York Rd. and north of I290.  I went to Crestview Elementary and Churchville Junior High and still remain close to my childhood friends.  I loved playing little league baseball, creek-jumping by Churchville and getting into mischief while growing up on Van Auken. 

After graduating from York H.S. in 1986, I went to C.O.D., then NIU, where I got a degree in journalism.  While I didn't do too much with my major, I enjoyed the college experience immensely. 

I've worked in the restaurant and bar business for more than 20 years.  After living in various suburbs and in Chicago, I moved back to Elmhurst a few years ago, following my divorce.

My favorite parts of Elmhurst are Wilder Park, Spring Road and the Prarie Path.
