Car Chase Abandoned, Phoney Calls to Strangers and Alleged Gang Member Arrested for Drugs

Abigail Flores, 18, 466 N. Larch, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with zero tolerance driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her white Pontiac Grand Prix for one headlight, obscured rear license plate and improper lane use at North and Highland at 4:31 a.m. Jan. 24. She was released on I-bond. Elmhurst police abandoned a chase after the suspect reached speeds in excess of 80 miles per hour at Route 83 and North Avenue. Police attempted to stop a light blue Mercury Grand Marquis for doing 80 miles per hour in a 50 mile-per-hour zone at 4:20 a.m. Jan. 24. The unknown driver failed to yield to the officer and increased speed. The vehicle was last seen traveling eastbound on Interstate 88 from Route 83. Sergio …

Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Drugs Dec. 28-30

And, woman denies dumping her garbage in a dumpster of a business but offers to apologize to the business anyway.

Michael J. Matook, 21, 1239 Holly Court, Downers Grove, and Samantha M. Shepley, 21, 200 Maison Court, Elmhurst, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop for failure to signal at First and Poplar at 2:42 a.m. Dec. 28. Shepley also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on bond. Evan R. Kristov, 20, 138 Elm Tree Lane, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 153 E. Schiller at 10:36 p.m. Dec. 28. He was released on bond. Louis J. Hall, 20, 465 W. Butterfield, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after …
