7-Eleven stores are offering free 7.11-ounce Slurpees from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today, Wednesday, July 11, to celebrate 7-Eleven Day. It's the store's 85th birthday and the 45th year of the Slurpee. Every summer since 2002, millions of free Slurpees have been given away on July 11 at about 8,200 stores across the nation. To keep the party going, 7-Eleven invites customers to play the Big Summer Sweeps’ game pieces found on specially marked products throughout the store. Stop at any of three Elmhurst 7-Eleven locations—572 S. York, 155 E. First or 525 S.
