In Court This Week: Cases of Murder, Battery, Theft and Aggravated DUI

Here are some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week.

The Connell family will be in DuPage County Court this week for their battery case. Hearings also up this week for murder, theft and aggravated DUI. Elmhurst—Bryan, Brian and Steven Connell are scheduled for hearing on Aug. 1. A civil lawsuit is likely, but not until the criminal cases are completed. Burr Ridge—John Gilbert returns to court Aug. 2 for what will likely be an another update on his defense team's analysis of computer records pulled by investigators. They are likely to want to introduce evidence that someone other than Gilbert killed Jason Dragos. Hearing is at 8:30 a.m. in Room 4006. Glen Ellyn—"Career Thief" Anne Strezewski, also known as Anne Rego, has an Aug 1 status hearing in her three new felony cases. Glen Ellyn—Glen …

In Court This Week: Two Cases of Elmhurst Women Accused of Attempting to Murder Children

Here's a look at some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week, July 11-14.

At the DuPage County Courthouse this week are hearings for two women accused of attempted murders in Elmhurst, a man accused in a triple murder in Darien and man accused in a jewelry heist in Naperville. Elmhurst—Cheryl Luchetta, accused of drugging her son in what might have been an attempted murder-suicide, is scheduled for a July 12 hearing where prosecutors will ask the judge to order Luchetta to undergo a psychological exam. Hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Elmhurst—Cheryl Luchetta's divorce case is also up this week, at 9 a.m. July 11. Elmhurst—Sandra Clanton, charged with the attempted murder of her grandson, is scheduled for July 13 status hearing. In Court This Week: Man Charged with Murdering Pregnant Wife

Here's a look at some of the cases we're keeping an eye on this week.

At the DuPage County Courthouse this week are hearings for a high school guidance counselor charged with sex abuse, two thieves accused of stealing tens of thousands from non-profits and and two murders.  Downers Grove—Eric Gilford is scheduled to appear June 10 in Courtroom 4014 for an 8:30 a.m. hearing where he is expected to plead guilty to a charge related to the 2010 murder of his pregnant wife.  Elmhurst—Robert Drefs, who is charged with stealing more than $32,000 from Messiah Lutheran Church in Elmhurst, is scheduled for a status hearing on June 6 in Courtroom 4014 at 9 a.m. Glen Ellyn—David Garmoe, the volunteer firefighter accused of stealing more than $260,000 from the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company, is likely to be arraigned …
