Elmhurst Man Arrested on Warrants Related to Burglary, Drug Possession Cases

Elmhurst police arrest the suspect in Berkley after he led Berkley officers on a chase.

Elmhurst police helped apprehend an Elmhurst man who was wanted on warrants for failure to appear in court related to charges of burglary and possession of a controlled substance. Robert Michael Kouzoukas, 29, 312 W. North Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested on two warrants out of DuPage County on Feb. 6 after the owner of the Mercury Grand Marquis he was driving reported it stolen. Kouzoukas led Berkley police on a chase through Berkley, and then he abandoned the vehicle in Bellwood. Elmhurst police located him in Berkley and transported him to the Berkley police station. Kouzoukas was arrested on burglary charges in Villa Park in April 2011 and for possession of a controlled substance in Elmhurst in June 2011. He is being held in DuPage County …

Ken, I agree with you that Ibonds are a joke, but again you blame the police. The truth is the police can hold you for so long on current charges and if you can't come up with cash for bond they have to releae you on an ibond or send you to the County Jail. Elmhurst Police Report Warrant Arrests and License Violations

A number of motorists pass through town in recent weeks without a valid license.

Warrant Arrests Elliott B. House, 28, 165 E. North Ave., Elmhurst, turned himself in on a warrant out of Cook County for contempt of court at 10:52 p.m. Nov. 4. He was turned over to the Cook County Sheriff's Department. Zachary Tyler Wagner, 19, 550 W. Grand Ave., was picked up on a warrant out of Glendale Heights at 7:57 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Extended Stay America hotel, 550 W. Grand Ave. He was picked up by Glendale Heights police. Paul A. Elvis Offers Up a Fake ID and Several Alcohol Incidents Reported

The following arrest information was supplied by the Elmhurst Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Warrant Arrest Elvis Lopez, 22, 345 Mason, Bensenville, was arrested after police pulled over his tan Nissan Quest for failure to obey a traffic light at Route 83 and North Avenue at 5:40 a.m. Aug. 22. Lopez was charged with presenting officers with a fake ID, obstructing identification, driving with a suspended license and signal violation. He was taken to DuPage County Jail after police discovered he had two outstanding warrants. A passenger in the car, Eswin Zacarias, 27, of the same address, was arrested and processed "to determine identity," according to the police report. Man Refuses to Pay Cabbie, a Lighter to the Head Leads to Warrant Arrest and Teens Try to get Beer at CVS

Theft Arrests A Chicago man took a cab into Elmhurst then reportedly refused to pay the fare June 4. Police found Pedro Ocampo, 20, 2509 W. Cortland, Chicago, pounding on a door at an apartment complex on the 100 block of West Virginia Street at 1:55 a.m. Police learned he had taken a cab from Oak Park to his girlfriend’s apartment to see his baby, but he had no money. His girlfriend would not let him inside nor pay for the $23 cab ride. Ocampo was charged with theft of services and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on bond to his sister. Shoplifting at CVS and Kmart, Loud Party Broken Up and Warrant Arrest Reported

Arrests reported in the Elmhurst police blotter May 19-23.

Warrant Arrest Daniel D. Briscoe, 22, 534 E. Red Oak Ave., Bensenville, was arrested after an incident on May 23. Police questioned Briscoe in the process of investigating a suspicious person at Van Auken and Victory. They released him, but discovered that he had given them a false name and date of birth. He was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge, and police arrested him at his home at 1:26 a.m. He also was charged with obstructing identification, for which he was released on I-bond. He was unable to post bond for his warrant and was taken to DuPage County Jail. Police Cite 18 for Underage Drinking Police responded to a loud party at 143 N. Elmhurst Police Investigate Battery, Make Arrests for Alcohol

Man claims he was jumped in front of his home by a group of men.

Battery Investigation A resident on the 800 block of North Geneva reported that while he was standing outside of his home, a silver Chevy Blazer pulled up and a group of men jumped out and started to punch him at 12:08 a.m. Jan. 8. The men fled on foot and in the vehicle. While checking the area, officers found two 17-year-old boys hiding in an open garage. They matched the description of the offenders in the battery, but the victim couldn’t positively identify them.
