Donation Drives Will Help Kids Right Here in Elmhurst Through UCCA

Elmhurst Police Department is accepting new, unwrapped gifts through December, while Tree Town Nursery School collected food items.

Students at Tree Town Cooperative Nursery School in Elmhurst collected 107 food items to help needy families in Elmhurst this holiday season. The food was collected for United Community Concerns Association, which has provided more than $77,000 worth of food and food certificates to more than 320 families and 85 seniors in Elmhurst.   The UCCA is an all-volunteer organization. Its mission is to target Elmhurst District 205's most needy children and provide food, referrals and services to them in an effort to fight hunger. Elmhurst Police Department also is collecting for UCCA, but instead of food, it is collecting unwrapped Christmas gifts to be donated to needy children living within Elmhurst Unit District 205.
