46-year-old Man Found Dead Sunday on 700 Block of South York
Little information is available, but Elmhurst police are investigating and the body has been turned over to the coroner.
A man was found dead Sunday night in the home at 757 S. York Road. Little information is available, but Elmhurst detectives and evidence technicians have launched an investigation to determine exactly what happened there. At about 6:35 p.m. Sunday, officers received a report of an unresponsive man inside the home, according to Police Chief Michael Ruth. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a 46-year-old man at the bottom of the stairs. Ruth said the man showed no signs of life. The victim was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 7:15 p.m. The DuPage County Coroner has taken custody of the body, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 25, to determine the official cause of death.
