Lombard Man Arrested in Elmhurst for Delivery of More Than 83 Grams of Cannabis

An ongoing investigation led Elmhurst police to the arrest of a Lombard man on Wednesday for delivery of more than 83 grams of cannabis. Police said William McCaleb, 30, 912 E. St. Charles Road Apt. 1, was taken into custody while delivering 83.5 grams of cannabis at an apartment complex at St. Charles Road and West Avenue in Elmhurst at 4:52 p.m. Wednesday. A search of his residence turned up an additional 17.9 grams of cannabis and a drug scale, police said. They also seized $60 and a 2000 Ford Explorer for possible forfeiture. McCaleb was charged with two counts of delivery of cannabis and taken to DuPage County Jail. Bond was set at $8,000, according to the DuPage Sheriff's website.
