Icy Roads Cause Some Car Accidents

Jake and John Eleniewski of Elmhurst captured this car accident at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Crescent and Rex. Elmhurst paramedics transported at least one person to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, they said. Overnight Sunday, the temperature will gradually rise, reaching around 41 by 5 a.m. and probably eliminating the ice problem for the morning commute. The roads were a mess for most of the afternoon Sunday, but all that is about to change; expect a high of 60 on Tuesday. Then, hang on for a wet roller-coaster weather ride.
