Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Drugs Dec. 28-30

And, woman denies dumping her garbage in a dumpster of a business but offers to apologize to the business anyway.

Michael J. Matook, 21, 1239 Holly Court, Downers Grove, and Samantha M. Shepley, 21, 200 Maison Court, Elmhurst, were arrested and charged with possession of cannabis after a traffic stop for failure to signal at First and Poplar at 2:42 a.m. Dec. 28. Shepley also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released on bond. Evan R. Kristov, 20, 138 Elm Tree Lane, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle at 153 E. Police Blotter: Damaged Vehicles, Light Poles and Christmas Decorations

Reports from the Elmhurst Police Department.

Property Damage Someone keyed a Jeep Liberty parked at 1200 S. York St. around noon on Dec. 12. Security later revealed the offender caught on camera. The complainant agreed to sign a complaint and was told to bring the vehicle to the police station for photos. Someone cut the Christmas lights at a home on the 400 block of Park Manor between 4 and 11 p.m. Dec. 12. Damage is estimated at $120. Someone threw orange paint on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of East Cayuge between 4:14 p.m. Dec. 17 and 6:20 a.m. Dec. 18. Damage is estimated at $50. A BB gun reportedly was shot at a house and garage on the 600 block of North Indiana between Nov. 30 and Dec. 19. The resident noticed several BB-type holes on her house and garage that appeared to…

Police Arrest Three Members of the Same Family at Home on Emroy After Drug Investigation

Firearms also found in the home.

Elmhurst police executed a search warrant at 460 N. Emroy Friday, Oct. 5, after an investigation into the alleged sale of illegal drugs from the residence. Seized from the house were 23 Adderall pills, cannabis, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and four firearms, police said. Three residents of the home were arrested and charged: The 17-year-old was taken to DuPage County Jail. Mario and Dominick Cuomo were released on bond.

DUI, Drug and Prostitution Arrests Reported by Elmhurst Police

World War II-era gun powder also turned at the police station.

Keeping a Place of Prostitution Tammi Moreno, 40, 2936 N. Keating, Chicago, was arrested for keeping a place of prostitution and possession of a controlled substance after police received information about prostitution activity at an undisclosed location. Undercover officers made contact with Moreno at 4:09 p.m. Sept. 20 and she offered her services. Crack cocaine was located in the room. She was taken to DuPage County Jail. Disorderly Conduct Sergius M. Harty, 18, 633 Davis Terrace, Glen Ellyn, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at 8:24 p.m. Sept. 16 at Kentucky Fried Chicken, 872 N. York Road. Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Drugs and DUI

Two of the women arrested for DUI were both pulled over after they were seen driving with two flat tires.

Drug Arrests Malissa A. Kurzac, 26, 1110 Sandra, Northlake, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and open alcohol after a traffic stop at 954 N. York Road at 8:11 a.m. May 17. She was released on bond. Sean M. Waffird, 18, 362 E. St. Charles Road, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Ridge and Hampshire streets at 9:14 p.m. May 22 on a report of possible drug activity. Crash with Injuries A 75-year-old Melrose Park man and a 25-year-old Northlake man were taken to Elmhurst Memorial Hospital after a three-car accident on North Avenue west of Interstate 290 at 9 p.m. April 21. A 16-year-old from Elmhurst, was charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane use. Drug Possession Brooke A. McCarty, 23,, 29W608 Westchester Circle #4, Warrenville, was arrested  and charged with possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and heroin), aggravated driving with a suspended license, improper use of registration and expired registration after a traffic stop at 3:46 a.m. April 20 at York and Cayuga. Daniel J. Keenan, 33, 915 S. Saylor, was arrested and cited for DUI, speeding, improper lane use and failure to signal after a traffic stop at Roosevelt and York roads at 12:16 a.m. Dec. 23. Oushanna, 27, 990 Mohawk, Elgin, was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia after an officer saw him smoking what appeared to be cannabis out of a tinfoil smoking pipe at 5:38 p.m. Dec. 6 at 933 Riverside Drive. Police reported they also found .2 grams of cannabis folded in paperwork that had been given to Oushanna on a prior cannabis charge. He was released on bond. Domestic Battery Michael R. Frankiewicz, 57, 307 E. Third St., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after an incident at his home at 10:38 p.m. Nov. 20. Possession of a Controlled Substance Philip A. Vishoot, 19, 10232 McLean Ave., Melrose Park, and Tyler Nelson, 18, 299 N. Riverglen, were stopped at Third and Maple streets at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 16 for disobeying a stop sign. A search of the vehicle produced .6 grams of cocaine, .8 grams of cannabis, nine Xanax pills and two Valium pills. Vishoot was charged with disobeying a stop sign. Nelson was charged with no seat belt, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Paul V. Dugo, 33, 190 N.
