Two Cases of Public Indecency Reported Sunday and Monday

DUI and domestic battery also reported Aug. 18 and 19.

Nikolai Anderson, 18, 529 Bohland, Bellwood, was arrested for public indecency after police said he pulled down his pants and exposed his penis to two young victims at Pioneer Park, Mitchell and Prairie Path Lane, at 7:59 p.m. Aug. 19. He was released on bond. A man described as about 80 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-8 inches tall, skinny with short gray hair, glasses and a limp, approached a male who was working out at the playground at Lincoln Elementary School, 565 S. Fairfield, at 3 p.m. Aug. 20. The suspect reportedly watched the victim while he fondled himself.  The victim said the man then moved within about 10 feet of him and, appearing aroused, continually touched himself through his pants. Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for Domestic Battery, Trespassing, Theft

Also, 18-year-old faces multiple charges after arrest for speeding.

Jesse Clark, 18, 650 Willow, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving without a license and driving without insurance after police pulled him over for speeding at Howard and Lake Street at 9:50 p.m. Aug. 1. They also discovered he had a warrant out of DuPage County for retail theft and domestic battery. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Gerald Wilson, 20, 628 S. 21st Ave., Maywood, was arrested and charged with domestic battery on the 500 block of Babcock at 6:33 p.m. Aug. 2. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Willliam R. Police Blotter: Domestic Battery and Retail Theft Arrests Reported

THURSDAY, JUNE 14 Jomo K. Bettis, 36, 690 N. West Ave. Apt. 2, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at 1:11 a.m. June 14. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Pamela Johnson, 43, 56 N. Laramie Apt. 2B, Chicago, was arrested and charged with felony retail theft after she took two packages of Dove soap and a pack of towels worth $22.57 from CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., at 12:50 p.m. June 14. Johnson is on parole for retail theft. She was taken to DuPage County Jail. Someone took an unlocked, green Avigo Revolution bicycle from the railing near door No. 7 at York High School, 355 W. St. Charles Road, at 12:30 p.m. June 14. The owner of the bike, which is worth $125, was attending a summer football camp at the school. …

Police Say Thief Was Making the Rounds at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital Campus

Subjects also picked up for domestic battery and on warrants.

Theft Arrests Jeffrey Prate, 29, 208 S. Ardmore, Villa Park, was arrested and charged with felony theft and felony burglary after an incident at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill, at 2:06 p.m. May 24. Hospital security personnel said they saw a suspicious man walking around the hospital and they believed he may have stolen a phone. Prate was later found in a bathroom. He allegedly admitted to taking the phone, and it was recovered in a wooded area near the hospital. Police later determined Prate also took a wallet from a purse in the Elmhurst Center for Health, 1200 S. York. He was taken to DuPage County Jail. Elmhurst Police Report Arrests for DUI, Public Intoxication and Possession of Cannabis

DUI Arrests Susan L. Glickman, 30, 199 Linden, Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after police pulled over her blue Pontiac G6 for speeding and squealing tires at Linden and Church streets at 3:21 a.m. April 26. Police discovered she had a suspended drivers license and a warrant out of Oakbrook Terrace for DUI. She was taken to DuPage County Jail and her vehicle was towed for forfeiture. Timothy Majewski, 27, 2242 S. Kensington, Westchester, was arrested and charged with DUI after police pulled over his black Cadillac Catera for improper lane use at Roosevelt and York roads at 12:45 a.m. April 28. Couple Arrested for Heroin Paraphernalia, Smoldering Kitchen Counter Draws Police Attention

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Lauren Cramer, 29, 840 Wedgewood Court, Buffalo Grove, and Shawn Glowacz, 34, 25748 Willow Spring Road, Mundelein, were arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police pulled over their black Hyundai Sonata at Route 83 and North Avenue at 6:51 p.m. April 24. Police said they had drug paraphernalia used for heroin. Glowacz, the driver, also was charged with speeding. Illegal Burning Justin Gallo, 29, 737 S. York Road, was cited for open burning without a permit after police assisted Elmhurst Fire Department on a call to his home for a possible garage fire at 6:10 p.m. April 24. Officers said Gallo had made a fire pit, and a kitchen countertop was burnt and smoldering near the fire. …

Police Investigate Embezzlement of $400,000 from Partex Marketing

Domestic battery and theft arrests also reported.

Embezzlement Investigation A former 10-year employee of Partex Marketing, 770 N. Church Road, is suspected of embezzling about $400,000 over the past two years. She had been terminated March 5 as a result of an audit. Police are not releasing the suspect's name pending an investigation. Domestic Battery Laurelle Bird, 50, 241 N. West Ave., Elmhurst, was arrested and charged with domestic battery at her home at 11:19 p.m. April 2. She was taken to DuPage County Jail. Warrant Arrest Martin J. Wallace, 52, of Lombard was found sleeping in a lobby at 111 W. First St. at 6:53 a.m. April 3. EDITOR'S NOTE: Charges of domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery against Fabian S. Dawkins were dropped in DuPage County Circuit Court Aug. 7. Fabian S. Dawkins, 18, 444 Spring Road Apt. 9, was arrested and charged after an incident at his home at 9:14 p.m. March 2. Police were called to the address on a report of a verbal argument. While officers were speaking with Dawkins, they reportedly saw a cannabis smoking pipe on him, in plain view. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and released on I-bond. Disgruntled Former Hospital Employee Suspected of Damaging the Cars of His Former Supervisors

Criminal Trespass A former employee of Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, who allegedly is unhappy about being fired last November, may be the person who has been damaging several vehicles in the parking lot at 1200 S. York Road over the past several weeks. At 11:19 a.m. Feb. 24, police were called to the hospital on a trespass report, but the suspect had left the area in a red Hyundai before they could arrive. The vehicles that have been damaged reportedly belong to his former supervisors. Police said the offender would be issued a no-trespass order. Suspicious Circumstances A manager at Arby's, 340 N. Elmhurst Man Cited Three Times Last Weekend

Criminal Trespass An Elmhurst man was issued citations by Elmhurst police three times last weekend. William Jensen, 46, 463 N. Van Auken, was cited for trespass at Elmhurst Public Library, 125 S. Prospect Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13. He had previously been banned from the property. Jenson was also found at 140 Industrial Drive at 12:42 a.m. Jan. 15, after having been served a no-trespass notice at this location. He was taken into custory and charged with trespass to property. Later the same day, at 6:28 p.m., Jensen was issued a citation for open liquor on public property. Police responded to Burger King, 436 N. York Road, on a medic call for a subject having seizures.
