A man was found dead Sunday night in the home at 757 S. York Road. Little information is available, but Elmhurst detectives and evidence technicians have launched an investigation to determine exactly what happened there. At about 6:35 p.m. Sunday, officers received a report of an unresponsive man inside the home, according to Police Chief Michael Ruth. When officers arrived, they discovered the body of a 46-year-old man at the bottom of the stairs. Ruth said the man showed no signs of life. A number of residents have contacted Elmhurst Patch with news tips regarding the heavy police activity at Market Square Townhomes on Thursday and Friday. One resident, who lives at Market Square, said she saw a body being removed Thursday. A report of a death investigation is listed in the Elmhurst police reports for 2:11 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, with no other information given.
