Objection Filed in Elmhurst Race for 7th Ward

Darlene Heslop's objection to Alderman Pat Wagner's nominating petitions will be heard Monday.

UPDATE: Alderman Mulliner has recused himself from serving on the Electoral Board. Earlier: Elmhurst resident Darlene Heslop has filed an objection against the nominating petitions of Alderman Pat Wagner, the incumbent candidate running to retain his 7th Ward seat in the April 9 Consolidated Election. The Elmhurst Electoral Board will meet to hear the objection at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at City Hall, 209 N. York St. The regularly scheduled meeting of the full City Council will follow the Electoral Board hearing, at 7:30 p.m. According to Illinois state statute, the city's Electoral Board must be composed of the mayor, in this case interim Mayor Scott Levin; the city clerk (Patty Spencer) and the longest-serving member of the City Council, …
