Pinstripes Opens Just a Stone's Throw Away

The 40,000 square foot venue offers bowling, bocce courts, outdoor fire pits, bistro and bar.

Pinstripes new Oak Brook location held its grand opening Sept. 22. The two-level, indoor-outdoor entertainment and dining venue features 16 bowling lanes, six indoor and four outdoor bocce courts, two outdoor fire pits as well as a bistro and bar. The bistro features American and Italian-inspired cuisine, from small plates to pizzas and flatbreads, homemade soups, salads, sandwiches, large plates and desserts. Guests can also enjoy a Pinstripes complete gluten free menu, kid’s menu and daily features, such as the $10 bottomless chopped salad and spaghetti on Mondays, or $4 burgers while bowling or playing bocce on Tuesdays.  Pinstripes is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week plus a Sunday brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests …

New Faces, Same Spirit for York Bowlers

Senior Allison Marselle and junior Morgan Pruitt are the lone varsity returnees for the Dukes under first-year coach Kelly Cassidy.

York senior girls bowler Allison Marselle enjoyed a career-best 224 game during last year's Leyden Invitational behind a streak of seven consecutive strikes. "It's crazy, but those were like the only marks I had. There was pressure (on me)," Marselle said. This season comes with different challenges for Marselle. She is the only four-year bowler in the program and the only regular senior in the varsity lineup for a young team that also has a new coach, Kelly Cassidy. "We're sort of struggling a little bit because we have a new coach, so it takes some adjusting. (But) I think we are doing well as a team overall," Marselle said. "We have a lot of people moving up that haven't been on varsity before, so it's defintely an adjustment."  …
