A resident of the 600 block of South Cedar told police that someone was knocking on his front door at 4:49 a.m. Jan. 8. The victim didn't see anyone when he looked out his window. But when police arrived, an officer saw two male subjects walking in the area, and they ran after seeing the officer. Police set up a perimeter, but the subjects were not located. Surveillance footage at Suburban Bank and Trust, 400 W. Lake St., revealed a gray Buick four-door parked in a parking space for about 25 minutes with an occupant inside.
