Nybo Files For Redrawn 24th District Senate Seat

Opts against re-election bid that would pit him against fellow GOP representative

Touting all 2,800 petition signatures came from door-to-door work across the 24th Senate District, State Rep. Chris Nybo announced Monday he had filed to run in the Republican primary for the redrawn seat. The 24th District includes all or parts of Clarendon Hills, Darien, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Glen Ellyn, Hinsdale, Lisle, Lombard, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, Western Springs, Westmont, Wheaton and Willowbrook. Nybo, an Elmhurst resident, blamed the Democrat-drawn district map for pitting Republican against one another, including in his current 41st House district.
