Kari has been cutting my son's and my hair for the past 8 years...I think that says a lot since I'm picky about how my hair is cut and styled. Kari always accommodates our crazy schedules, she is one of the sweetest people I know and she really does a fine job on our hair ! She's so good that we actually followed her when she moved from one salon and ended up at Alter Ego. She's a keeper :)
Seriously the best cut you'll ever get. I have been going to Lindsay for about 5-6 years. Ever since then I constantly have people ask me about my hair. I have long hair and Linsday does great color (Sombre/Ombre) and always makes sure that I look great. I really just let her do it because she makes it look fabulous. Also my husband goes to Linsday. He has tried others but always winds up coming back. Now that he is getting "less and less" hair, he wears it really short and she does it perfect. My daughter, moved to Atlanta and still tries to come back here to get her hair done. Ridiculous yes, but she can't find anyone as good as Lindsay!

Lindsay is a hair genius. She's stuck with me for life because I will never change stylists. She is the third stylist I tried in the Elmhurst area. The first one (different salon) completely fried my hair. The second one was a little better but nothing to write home about. Lindsay, on the other hand, can't be beat. My hair was beyond damaged from the past stylists and Lindsay brought my hair back to life. She spent a whopping five hours with me the first time trying to salvage my hair. She did such an amazing job that I went from absolutely hating my hair to actually liking it. Of course, it will still take some time to get rid of all the damage the past stylists did, but Lindsay has made that a much less excruciating process! I also sent one of my friends from work there and the first words out of her mouth to me the next day was "Lindsay is awesome!". I love it when I'm right. ;)

This salon does it right! Warm welcoming and best of all a great cut! Becca shared some good tips..Morrocan Oil is helping and the dry shampoo..who knew?! I will be back :-)

Kari's color and cuts are bar none. She's so accommodating and always upbeat and friendly. If she's on vacation Becca is also an amazing stylist with a great eye for color. Love these girls!
The stylists are very knowledgeable on the latest hair products and really take their time making sure they understand your needs. I have always been happy with the style and cut of my hair and love the retro style shop and convenient parking.
I had a consultation with Lindsay regarding hair extensions. She was very thorough and informative on the Klix system. She took the time to look at the condition of my hair after I had a horrible haircut by another salon. If I decide to try Klix hair extensions, I will definitely go to Lindsay.
I drive all the way from Crystal Lake to Elmhurst so Lindsay at Alter Ego Salon can do my hair. I have NEVER been more happy with my color than I am now. Not only does Lindsay do what LOOKS best for your hair, she also does what IS best for your hair. My hair is once again healthy after years of bleaching and over processing from various salons. Lindsay has helped restore my natural color and texture. She is amazing and I highly recommend her and Alter Ego Salon!
