Friday Night Artist Talk: Adam Scott
What: Painter Adam Scott explains his new collage-based work that translates our cultural landscape in dynamic, undulating abstractions.
Where: Elmhurst Art Museum

Teen Art Workshop—Smash Books
What: Kids in grades six to nine can gather all their ticket stubs, admission bracelets, dried flowers, name tags, brochures and badges and create a memory book.

Pedal and Pub Bike Crawl
What: It may not be the Elmhurst Cycling Classic of last weekend, but the Pedal and Pub Bike Crawl will be its own kind of adventure. The ride starts and finishes at Riley's and includes stops at about 10 drinking emporiums and one Dairy Queen. The ride, created by members of the Hustlers and Piccadilly Ski Clubs, will travel both the Great Western Trail and the Prairie Path.
Where: Meet at Riley's, 590 S. York in Elmhurst
When: 10:45 a.m.
How much: Free, and registration is not necessary

MS Family Stories
What: Meet Allison Redfern, Author of Porcelain Angel: A Daughter's Journal of a Mother's Journey through Multiple Sclerosis.
Where: Elmhurst College Frick Center, 190 Prospect Ave.
When: 4 p.m.
Cost: Free

Block to Block Party!
What: Every Wednesday and Saturday, all summer long, enjoy live music, family fun and specials all over City Centre.
Where: Downtown Elmhurst
When: 6 to 9 p.m.

Christmas in July
What: Families can play reindeer games, compete in a Christmas trivia contest and sit on Santa's lap while listening to Christmas music.
Where: East End Pool, 463 Schiller Ave.
When: 1 to 5 p.m.
Cost: Free for pool pass holders, regular admission for non-pool pass holders ($6 for kids, $7 for adults).
