Wednesday, Aug. 14

  • All the usual Wednesday fun continues, with the Farmers Market from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Cool Cars Under the Stars from 6 to 9 p.m. and the City Centre Block to Block Party with live music at four locations downtown from 6 to 9 p.m. Arguably, the best day of the week.
  • The Elmhurst Park District meeting on Wednesday will be all about flood control; the city of Elmhurst wants to use several Elmhurst parks for flood retention. Don't miss this important meeting at 7 p.m. at The Abbey, 407 W. St. Charles Road. Read more here.
