Look Who We Ran Into On The Shores Of Lake Ellyn

Owner of Elmhurst's Salt Creek Pottery, Robert Reckers, is selling his wares at the 44th annual Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts this weekend.

It was a perfect day to take in some fine art and live music along the shores of Lake Ellyn in Glen Ellyn on Saturday. And, while we were there, we found the owner of Salt Creek Pottery of Elmhurst, Robert Reckers.

Elmhurst residents may know Reckers from the pottery classes he teaches at his Elmhurst shop, but when he's not doing that, he's selling his works of art at various area art shows.

The fine weather is expected to continue on Sunday, so if you're looking for something to do, stop by and see Reckers—and a whole lot more in Glen Ellyn. The show is located along Lenox Road near the lake. Admission is free. Hours are until 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The fest is reminiscent of Elmhurst's own Art in the Park, and features about 70 artists, specializing in everything from pottery to photography, glassworks to oil painting.
