Rep. Conroy Visits Technology Center of DuPage

VILLA PARK, Ill. –State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, visited the campus of Technology Center of DuPage located at 301 S. Swift Rd. in Addison on Thursday, August 29. Technology Center of DuPage offers DuPage County area high school juniors and seniors 21 career and technical education programs (CTE) as part of their high school curriculum. 

“With college tuition sky-rocketing, getting a head start on working towards a higher degree or professional certification is a good option for many young people today,” said Conroy. “It was inspiring to meet many of the motivated, passionate students studying on campus.”

The Technology Center of DuPage offers courses that can earn students college credit and professional certification in areas such as engineering, criminal justice, cosmetology, culinary arts, manufacturing, and automotive servicing. 

“I’ve toured many manufacturing facilities and businesses throughout District 46 and many of them want to hire workers in the skilled-trades,” said Conroy. “Technology Center of DuPage will give students the skills to be competitive in the job market.”
