Rep. Conroy to Host Concealed Carry Seminar for Businesses

VILLA PARK, Ill. – Rep. Deb Conroy will be hosting a seminar on the new concealed carry legislation and its affect on businesses and their customers on Tuesday, February 11 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at the Glenside Public Library located at 25 E Fullerton Ave. in Glendale Heights.

“With concealed and carry coming to Illinois I wanted to ensure that businesses in my district were aware of the ins and outs of the law and how they and their clientele may be affected,” Conroy said. “I’m always looking to help small businesses in my district. This seminar can help clear up any confusion that employers may have about how the law will impact them, their employees, and their customers.”

The concealed carry bill became law in July when the legislature voted to override the Governor’s veto of the bill.  The law allows individual in Illinois to apply for a concealed carry permit after 16 hours of training and a $150 application fee.
