Conroy Urges Residents to Sign Up for Income Tax Refund Alerts

VILLA PARK, Ill. – To help ensure that residents receive their income tax refunds in a timely manner, state Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, is encouraging taxpayers to visit the Illinois Comptroller’s new tax refund website, www.myrefund.illinoiscomptroller.com. The website provides residents a way to check on the status of their individual Illinois income tax refund and receive alerts when their refunds are being processed.

“The website eliminates any guesswork and notifies taxpayers exactly when their payment is processed,” said Conroy “This very useful resource can make tax season easier for Illinois residents.”

The convenient website allows taxpayers to see if their payment has been processed by the Comptroller’s Office by entering their name and Social Security number. Taxpayers also have the opportunity to enter an email address and phone number to receive a notification when their payment is processed. The resource also allows residents to view a history of their refund payments.

“Many families rely on the funds from their much-needed tax-returns each year,” Conroy said. “This tool helps give folks extra financial reassurance on the current status of their tax refund.”
