Conroy to Offer Information Session on Changes to Persons with Disabilities Parking Programs
Villa Park, Ill. – State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, and Secretary of State Jesse White’s office are partnering to offer an open forum to inform residents about changes to Illinois’ Persons with Disabilities Parking Program that will take effect on January 1, 2014.
“There are quite are few changes to the Persons with Disabilities Parking Program. The new changes to the law may affect those with a disability license plate or placard,” Conroy said. “I want to make sure that residents of the district are aware of what the changes are and how they could be affected by the changes.”
The forum will be held on Friday, November 15th from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the Glendale Heights Senior Center located at 260 Civic Center Plaza in Glendale Heights. A representative from the Secretary of State’s Office will be presenting and taking questions on changes to the program.

“I encourage any resident who has a disability license plate or placard and other elected officials and community leaders to attend the information session,” said Conroy. “The transition to the new program will be a team-effort. By making sure that folks are aware and informed on the new changes we can help ease the transition.”
