Conroy Invites Residents to Showing of Veterans’ Documentary “High-Ground”

VILLA PARK, Ill. –State Rep. Deb Conroy, D-Villa Park, is inviting area residents to a showing of the documentary “High-Ground”, a film that details eleven wounded veterans and their expedition scaling Mount Lobuche.  The film will be shown on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:30 P.M. at the Villa Park Public Library located at 305 S. Ardmore in Villa Park.

“During one of our Veteran’s Advisory Committee meetings we decided that we would like to offer the chance for the public to come see this moving documentary,” Conroy said. “We wanted to show a film that captures the service and sacrifices that our veterans make.”

Rep. Conroy’s Veteran’s Advisory Committee is presenting the film. All area residents are invited to the screening, which is free and open to the public.

“Seeing the veterans overcome their injuries and ailments to make the climb up Mt. Lobuche is quite inspiring,” said Conroy. “I encourage any resident that wants to show support for veterans or learn more about veterans to attend the showing of the film.”
