York's Scott Milling Finishes in the Top 10 at Foot Locker Cross Country Regionals

Milling is now qualified for Nationals in San Diego Dec. 8.

Helping lead the York High School Boys Cross Country Team to its 28th state championship was just the beginning for York senior Scott Milling. He kept on running, all the way to a ninth-place finish at the Foot Locker Cross Country Championship Midwest Regionals Saturday, Nov. 24, in Kenosha, Wisc.

Race conditions were good on the 5,000-meter course, but the temperature hovered in the mid-20s under cloudy skies.

Milling's Top 10 finish earned him an invitation to the National Finals in San Diego. The top 10 boys and the top 10 girls in the seeded Midwest Regionals qualified to compete against runners from the Northeast, South and West Regional meets in the Foot Locker Nationals Dec. 8.
