Three IC Catholic Prep Senior Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Demetrius Carr, Sean Fenton and KC Morris get ready for the next step.

IC Catholic Prep seniors Demetrius Carr, Sean Fenton and KC Morris on Wednesday each signed national letters of intent with their respective universities.

Carr will play football with Minnesota State University at Moorhead, a Division II school. As quarterback at ICCP, Carr led the Knights to a 7-4 record and the second round of state playoffs. He's an all around athlete, with a big interest in basketball, too, but football is his sport, according to an article in CSNChicago.com.

Fenton committed to Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., which is a national leader in education and career development for students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Fenton was born deaf but has a cochlear implant that allows him to function quite well, according to an article on CSNChicago.com. Fenton, a linebacker for the Knights, was recently named to the IHSA Class 3A Football All-state Team.

Morris signed with the University of Missouri in Columbia, where she will be a midfielder on the Tigers' soccer team. In addition to playing for ICCP, she played club soccer with Eclipse Select, helping the team to advance to the semifinals of the 2012 Dallas International Girls Cup and other showcases.
