The Knights (4-0) Go Head to Head With Undefeated Marian Central Friday

Tonight's Immaculate Conception High School football game against Marian Central Catholic should be quite a matchup. Both teams are undefeated.

What can we say about Immaculate Conception football?

As it heads into the fifth game of the season tonight, Sept. 21, IC is the only undefeated team in the Suburban Christian Gold Conference.

And, that's no accident; the scores tell the story.

Last weekend, Sept. 14, the Knights owned the Homecoming crowd at Plunkett Park in Elmhurst, defeating St. Edward 49-22. Watch a replay of that game right here.

Aurora Central Catholic was no match for IC either, losing 33-0 on Sept. 7. The Knights took down Wheaton Academy 39-6 on Sept. 1, and Noble Street Charter 77-6 on Aug. 25.

The Knights will have to tally their fifth win on enemy territory as they travel to Marian Central, 1001 McHenry Ave., Woodstock, for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Marian, which completed its 2011 season 11-1,  beat Marmion Academy (Aurora) 34-7 Sept. 14; Guerin (River Grove) 63-0 on Sept. 7, McHenry 38-28 on Aug. 31, and Crystal Lake South 31-0 on Aug. 24.
