Immaculate Conception Has Home-field Advantage in Round Two of the Class 3A Playoffs

Kickoff is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Plunkett Park.

The 12th-seeded Immaculate Conception High School football Knights (7-3) will take on No. 4 ranked Aurora Christian (9-1) in the second round of the IHSA Class 3A playoffs at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at West and Utley in Elmhurst.

The Knights are on a tear after upsetting North Boone 59-34 last weekend, a school record for points in a playoff game. Read about that game on the Belvidere Daily Republican website.

The Knights cannot let up against the Eagles, who are the defending Class 3A state champions.

It's a rematch for these two teams; Aurora Christian beat Immaculate Conception 47-20 during Week 7 of regular season play. But with home-field advantage and all the Knights healthy, chances are good IC can score an upset.

Aurora Christian beat Raby (Chicago) 49-12 on Oct. 26. Read coverage of that game on the Chicago Sun-Times website.
