ICHS Scores Convincing Win Over North Boone; On to Game Two of the Class 3A Playoffs

Immaculate Conception ready to avenge previous loss against Aurora Christian in Game 2.

Immaculate Conception High School defeated North Boone in Poplar Grove Oct. 27 by a score of 59-34 in the first round of the Class 3A football playoffs. Most of the Knights' scoring was in the second and fourth quarters, when they tallied 21 and 31 points, respectively.

IC started strong with a 14-0 lead in the second quarter, according to the Rockford Register Star. A pair of second-half interceptions added to the Vikings demise.

IC (7-3) next takes on Aurora Christian (9-1) at a date and time to be announced. The last time the Knights met the Chargers, on Oct. 5, they were defeated 47-20 in Aurora, but this time, they'll be at home at Plunkett Park.
