Football: One More Game for York; IC Still Very Much Alive

York vs. Glenbard West

York's football season is over after this weekend's game against Glenbard West High School. York's loss to Lyons Township last weekend made sure of that. While the Dukes had an amazing play just 19 seconds into the first quarter against LT in Game 8, they just couldn't get it together for the win.

But no doubt the Dukes (3-5, 1-4 WSC) would like to end their season with a win. It won't be easy; Glenbard West is undefeated in WSC Silver and only lost one game all season. They also have home-field advantage. 

The weather for Saturday's game is expected to be partly cloudy, with a high of 53 and no chance of rain. Kickoff is at 12:30 p.m. Glenbard West is at 670 Crescent Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.

IC Catholic Prep vs. Chicago Christian

IC is coming off of a big 41-12 win over Walther Luther last weekend, and the Knights have a respectable 5-3 (4-2 SCC) record going into the last regular season game.

The Knights are favored to beat Chicago Christian (2-6, 1-5 SCC) and secure a playoff spot. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at 12001 S. Oak Park Ave., Palos Heights.
