Football: ICHS Takes on North Boone in Round 1 of the Class 3A Playoffs

Playoffs begin for the Knights with a trip to Poplar Grove on Saturday.

Immaculate Conception Football Knights will be on the road for the first round of the Class 3A playoffs, as they head to North Boone High School in Poplar Grove for a 1 p.m. kickoff Saturday, Oct. 27.

The 12th seeded Knights finished the season 6-3 under head coach Bill Krefft, clinching a playoff berth after a 42-6 victory over Chicago Christian in Elmhurst Oct. 20.

The 5th seeded North Boone Vikings were Big Northern Conference East Division champions, finishing the season 8-1. It's the Vikings' first time in the playoffs since 2005.

Scouts are saying IC's experience in the tough Suburban Christian Conference  has left the Knights well prepared for the matchup with North Boone.

The winner advances to play the winner of Chicago Raby (6-2) versus Aurora Christian (8-1).
