The 28th annual Dan Gibbons Turkey Trot, to raise money to feed the hungry, will have a new route this year. It begins at York and South Streets, heads north on York Street, circles Elmhurst College, and returns south on Cottage Hill Avenue to where it began. Proceeds benefit the United Community
Concerns Association, DuPage PADS, People’s Resource Center, West Suburban Community Pantry, Loaves and Fishes Community Pantry, and Catholic Charities of DuPage County. Pre-register on-line by Nov. 19, or in person from 2-6 p.m., Nov. 19 at Koenig & Strey, 540 S. York Rd., or on race day from 6:30-8:55 a.m.
