Saddle Up And Head Over To The Bike Rodeo

ELMHURST, Ill. – Dust off your bike and head over to The Depot, 511 S. York St., on Saturday, May 19 from 10 a.m.-Noon and kick start your summer cycling season with a bike safety review, equipment check, and of course – a bike ride! This year’s revamped Bike Rodeo will feature a large skills course at the York & Vallette parking lot with nine stations teaching bike safety, tactics and skills.

Tot-sized cyclists can explore Safety Town from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. (note time difference) on tricycles and decorate their bikes or borrow ours.  Adults and children with two-wheelers can explore the skills course or enjoy a leisurely ride on the Prairie Path.  Community volunteers will be available to check out your bikes.  The Elmhurst Police Department, Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, Elmhurst Bike Task Force and Club will be there to see that you are all put together!

Cyclists of all ages are invited but children must be accompanied by an adult. All materials will be provided. For more information about this free event, contact the Wagner Community Center at (630) 993-8901.  Hope to see you there!
