DOWNERS GROVE, IL – State Sen. Ron Sandack (R-Downers Grove) visited the Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region on August 10 to take a tour of their facility and learn more about the services offered to their clients.

“Taking a tour of this facility was truly enjoyable,” Sen. Sandack said.  “The personnel here are wonderful people, doing great work, and the clients were a delight to interact with.  I appreciated being welcomed and the opportunity see first-hand the services that this worthy organization is providing to many in our community.”

Easter Seals of DuPage and the Fox Valley Region has become one of the largest and most highly regarded pediatric outpatient rehabilitation centers in the nation due to its focus on therapeutic excellence.  The staff consists of highly trained, experienced therapists who provide individualized services for infants, children and adults with disabilities to help them achieve independence.

Easter Seals treats approximately 1,000 clients a week, with disabilities ranging from mild to severe and of all financial levels.  Technology is a large part of many of the children’s therapy, including use of iPads and video games.

Easter Seals has a new program called “Make the First Five Count,” which is a program focused on early identification, early care, and early intervention services for children.  It is designed to give children who are at risk of developmental delays or disabilities the right support they need in order to be prepared for school and build a foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Sen. Sandack encourages members of the community to attend their Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show on Saturday, September 22 at Drury Lane in Oak Brook Terrace.  Easter Seals clients will show off their achievements on the runway as attendees cheer them on and all proceeds benefit the mission of Easter Seals DuPage and the Fox Valley Region.  For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit www.eastersealsdfvr.org
