Last night I saw on two occaisions multiple skunks running across the street to disappear into piles of brush on parkways.
It's been 12 days since the July 1 storm hit Elmhurst, and after traveling through several parts of town, it doesn't seem that any brush is being cleared.
This is not only unsafe for pedestrians trying to use brush-blocked sidewalks, but also invites nocturnal animals like skunks and possums to build dens/nests.
