Winter-like Weather Didn't Stop Walk to School Day
All elementary schools in District 205 are part of the Safe Schools initiative.
Lincoln School, along with the other elementary schools in Elmhurst District 205, celebrated Earth Week by encouraging students to walk and bike to school. Students braved cold temperatures and rain in support of healthy habits that benefit the planet.
As an additional incentive, Lincoln School designated one day last week as Secret Charm Day; students received a bonus for their efforts.
Lincoln School, along with all District 205 elementary and middle schools, has joined the Safe Routes to School initiative, which encourages active transportation to school.
