Immaculate Conception High School Golf Outing Chips In Big Dollars for Student Scholarships

Friendly competition nets $15,000 for ICHS students.

More than 130 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day of golf, food and fun June 10 at the 19th annual Scholarship Golf Outing.

The event, held at the Bloomingdale Golf Club, began with a putting contest for $5,000, followed by 18 holes of golf using a scramble format.

There were plenty of opportunity for prizes on the golf course, including hole-in-one prizes at every par 3 and longest drive and closest to the pin contests. Participants also were able to try their luck with the raffles and live auction held during dinner.

While the golfers were treated to a full day of friendly competition and festivities, the real winners are the students at ICHS. Sponsored by the ICHS Alumni Association, this annual event raises money to fund scholarships for current and incoming students. Thanks to support from sponsors, donors and participants, this year’s outing generated more than $15,000 to be awarded to ICHS families.
