ICHS Boys Basketball Players Sign to Play at West Point and Briar Cliff University

The boys achieved their goals under coach Darren Howard.

Immaculate Conception High School announced that on Friday, April 15, senior basketball players Demetrius Mobley and Anthony Loss both signed letters of intent to continue their studies and basketball careers in college. Mobley signed to play for Army at West Point, and Loss signed to play at Briar Cliff University in Iowa.

Mobley becomes the first Division 1 signee under the leadership of ICHS head coach Darren Howard.

“Demetrius has matured over his four years at ICHS," Howard said. "He has become a leader and a very strong young man, as well as a very talented basketball player. I am proud of his decision to attend West Point.”

Loss, who played for Howard for two years after transferring from Lake Park, also showed tremendous growth during his time at ICHS.

“Anthony accepted his role as a back up last year and then stepped up in his role this summer as the point guard and co-leader of the team with Demetrius,” Howard said. “From the beginning, it has been his goal to play college basketball and I am very glad that he was able achieve this goal.”
