Workshop Teaches Seniors to Protect Against On-Line Scams

Seniors interested in learning how to avoid Internet scams and how to better protect themselves on-line are invited to join Ill. Rep. Chris Nybo (R-Lombard) and representatives from the Illinois Attorney General’s office for two upcoming local “Silver Beat” programs.  The “Silver Beat” program is an initiative from the Attorney General’s office that hosts workshops to help seniors learn the tools needed to avoid on-line fraud. Another workshop is scheduled for 10-11:30 a.m., Sept. 9, at Lombard Village Hall, 255 E. Wilson Ave.
