Elmhurst District 205 Will Seat its New Board Tonight

The board will bid farewell to Susan DeRonne and Maria Hirsh, and welcome Margaret Harrell and Emily Bastedo.

Elmhurst Unit District 205 School Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, April 30, to seat new board members Margaret Harrell and Emily Bastedo. Incumbent Jim Collins was re-elected and will continue his service on the board.

Board members also will recognize out-going board members Maria Hirsch and Susan DeRonne for their years of service.

The board meets at the District 205 administration building, 162 S. York. The agenda includes the following items:

Reorganization of the Board of Education

  • Acknowledge receipt of certified election results
  • Administer oath of office to new board members
  • Election of president, vice president and secretary
  • Establishment of regular meeting schedule
  • Reaffirmation of all existing contracts and policies

Committee and other appointments (each committee will have three members)
