District 205 Pays Tribute to Its Long-time Staff and Retirees

Ten 25-year employees and 21 retirees were honored.

Ten Elmhurst Unit District 205 employees were recognized with service awards and 21 retirees were honored at the annual Recognition and Retired Staff Reception at the District 205 Administration Center April 27.

School Board President Susan DeRonne addressed a packed board room of well wishers, and Superintendent Lynn Krizic shared entertaining stories about each honoree. All who were honored received a white rose. Retirees received a handwritten card of thanks. Those marking 25 years of service received a watch. Denise Kolar, the 35-year honoree from Field School, received a clock.

Marking 25 years of service are: Andrew Barrett, Bryan Middle School; Nancy Nega, Churchville Middle School; Steven Gloeckle, District 205 Office; Renee Gaston, Hawthorne Elementary School; Lory Santiago, Jefferson Elementary School; Trish Charatin and Deborah Ruckstaetter, Lincoln Elementary School; and Mark Laurich and Stanley Reddel, York High School.

Retirees include: Evanis Meier and Lydia Sotka from Bryan; David Heap, Darlene Kontek, Linda Krause, Ramona Osgood and Nancy Nega from Churchville; Eileen Lascola from the District 205 Office; Denise Kolar and Mary Napolilli from Field; Jon Childs and Mary Donehoo from Fischer; Stephen Smith from Hawthorne; Richard Scoles from Jackson; Mary Ann Kalis from Lincoln; Helen Lazzaro from Sandburg; and Joan Davis, Janice Jumper, Stanley Reddel, LaVern Reiff and Michael Torney from York.
