Money, Effort Spent for 8th Congressional District Seat

Democratic challenger Tammy Duckworth (D) and freshman Republican Joe Walsh (R) each have received substantial financial support to reach out to voters, in addition to other area candidates, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Thousands of dollars have been donated, and thousands of phone calls made to help clinch the 8th Congressional District seat currently held by freshman republican Joe Walsh, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Both democratic challenger, Tammy Duckworth and Walsh each have received substantial support from their party's Super PAC's, but the Chicago Tribune reports Walsh has outspent Duckworth by thousands.

Inspite of all the money poured into this campaign, I hope Tammy Duckworthless gets defeated.

I believe that the Lord will watch over us and protect us from Joe Walsh. With the help of our Heavenly Father, we will arrive at our polling stations safely, to cast a vote for Tammy Duckworth. As the future Rep Duckworth takes her oath to serve her constituents honorably, as she has done in the past while Serving in Iraq, I will bow my head in prayer. Thank you Jesus for sending us this strong, honest, intelligent, empathetic and courageous woman to represent ALL the people of our district. Amen
