Meet the Candidates for Mayor, City Council, Park and School Board Sunday

League of Women Voters candidate forum will begin at 1 p.m. at City Hall.

Candidates running in the April 9 Consolidated Election will participate in a candidate forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Elmhurst City Hall, 209 N. York St.

Candidates in contested elections are scheduled to discuss various issues at the following times:

1 p.m.: Opening statements and Elmhurst Park Board candidates:

  • Vince Spaeth
  • Patricia Morissette-Moll
  • Doug Ennis

1:45 p.m. Candidates for City Council in Wards 1, 4, 5 and 7 (Incumbents in Wards 2, 3 and 6 are unopposed and will not participate):

  • 1st Ward: Martha "Marti" Deuter, MaryNic Foster
  • 4th Ward: Mike Baker, Kevin York
  • 5th Ward: Robert Kevin "Bob" Kolb, Chris Healy
  • 7th Ward: Patrick Wagner, Charles Mueller


3 p.m. Candidates for mayor

Each segment will be moderated by a League of Woman Voters volunteer. The forum will be broadcast on local cable TV, and an online voters guide with the candidates' written answers will be posted on the League website.
