It's Not Too Late for Students Looking for Fall Legislative Internships

Rep. Chris Nybo's program will expose students to state government.

State Rep. Chris Nybo (R-41st, Elmhurst) is seeking high school and college candidates who are interested in gaining legislative and public policy experience through his fall legislative internship program. The internship program will be offered from Sept. 1 through Dec. 15, however, the district office will be taking applications through Sept. 30.

“The legislative intern program provides a unique opportunity for community-minded individuals to learn more about state government, public policy and legislative affairs,” Nybo said.

Building off of the success of Nybo’s , the internship offers hands-on experience in office management, community relations, constituent communications, monitoring local issues and formulating and evaluating policy positions.

Nybo’s district staff will also work with the students in need of education and community service credits. The fall internships are flexible in terms of hours and length of commitment for students who may have other obligations. 

Applicants are encouraged to provide a resume.
