Garbage Pickup in Elmhurst Will Be Delayed One Day This Week

Elmhurst City Council meeting will be held as planned.

Garbage pickup in Elmhurst will be delayed this week due to the dangerously cold weather Monday and Tuesday morning, according to a Monday announcement by the City of Elmhurst.

Allied Waste Services refuse and recycling pick up will occur one day later than the normally scheduled pick up day this week. With this change, Allied Waste will follow its holiday schedule.

Christmas trees also will be picked up for free the weeks of Jan. 6 and 13 on residents' garbage day. Trees should not be placed in plastic bags.
