First Public Hearing on Electricity Aggregation is Monday

Committees will then discuss TIF, Cool Cars, stormwater and more.

Elmhurst City Council will hold the at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 23. Resident input will help the city finalize its plan to seek cheaper power rates than those currently offered by ComEd.

Following the public hearing, at 7 p.m., council members will meet in their four standing committees. Public comment will be welcome at the end of each meeting.

Following are the agenda items that will be discussed:

Development, Planning and Zoning Committee

  • request for a front yard setback at 446 E. Park Ave. to construct an addition and an unenclosed front porch
  • discussion of a timeline and review of the redevelopment plan and project format for the proposed tax increment financing districts
  • discussion on increasing the membership of the Elmhurst Economic Development Commission from 12 to 15 members

Finance, Council Affairs and Administrative Services Committee

  • review information technology personnel plan
  • insurance committee update
  • continued review of sewer rates
  • continued discussion on electric aggregation program
