District 205 Administrators to Join Discussion on the Role of the Federal Government in Education

Elmhurst District 205 administrators will discuss The Role of the Federal Government in Education with the Elmhurst League of Women Voters (LWV) on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. The public is invited to participate in the discussion in the Bryant Room of the Frick Center, Elmhurst College.
 
Dr. Charles Johns, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, will discuss Common Core Standards, a national movement to bring consistency and rigor to students in K-12 public schools. Assistant Superintended for Finance, Mr. Christopher Whelton, will address school funding and equity issues.
